Brightly colored boats, roaring engines and hovering helicopters drew the crowds, the first race of 2010 for the Offshore Super Series Powerboat Racing Association. The Offshore Super Series (OSS) is an offshore powerboat racing organization founded in December 2003 by 30 of the top offshore race boat teams in the USA . These are the largest, most powerful racing machines of all, the extreme expense of the boats and the fuel required to participate make it an expensive and elite sport.

The Lake of the Ozarks is thrilled to be the host site for this prestigious national event,” says Jim Divincen, executive director of the Tri-County Lodging Association (TCLA). “Last year’s OSS race was one of our top two on-water events, generating approximately four million dollars of economic impact in the Lake community.

If you love power and speed then look no further, this is the weekend at Lake of the Ozarks for you! These are no ordinary boat races, OSS Powerboat racing is there to thrill you.
